The glass drops dangle on silver chains from a matching ring of glass, sliced from the lip of a glass bottle - the ultimate story of recycling! However, these elegantly swinging earrings prove that recycled doesn’t have to look recycled. Whether you choose a light sparkle like the pale Coca-Cola green, or a deep, vibrant celestial blue, these earrings will surely add some stars to your eyes!

These earrings are 100% recycled, from the glass drops and rings to the sterling silver metalwork and hooks. Even the packaging is recycled!

Using a giant magnifying glass to focus sunshine, recycled bottles and stained glass were melted into these translucent, flowing drops under the open sky! No pieces are exactly alike.

Are you tired of having to polish your silver? Tarnish-resistant Argentium sterling silver is easy maintenance, with a brighter, whiter color than traditional sterling silver. And, it is 100% recycled! (Not only is mining terrible for the environment in various ways, working with recycled silver uses only 5% as much energy (and emissions) compared with virgin silver ore. Now that’s eco-friendly!)

Best of all, you don’t have to worry about allergic reactions. Naturally hypoallergenic, Argentium silver is nickel-free.

Your jewelry will arrive in a classic white jewelry box tied with a ribbon.

Polish with a soft cloth, such as an eyeglasses or jewelry polishing cloth. Never use tissue or paper towels, as the fibers may scratch the metal.

If needed, wash with mild soap in warm water and dry completely with a soft cloth. (Moisture is a leading cause of tarnish, so never put your jewelry away while still damp!)

Where did you get this idea?

To my knowledge, no one else uses sunlight to melt glass in this way. A friend of mine, back when he was 14, got his hands on this giant magnifying glass - and, being a teenager in rural Alaska, went around burning everything he could find! He melted lines in the beach sand, and started making these neat little glass teardrops...Fast forward a decade or so, and we went into business together.Fast forward another decade or so, and while he has moved on to other things - like studying tsunami geology and month-long camping trips on glaciers with his wife and two young kids - I’m still making Sundrop Jewelry and loving playing with glass!
